Let it Snow? Still!

Well, it has been quite a while since I have posted and I suppose that it is about time. I am sitting in my parents living room watching the second of my favorite series of movies and books -- Harry Potter! I think that I am going to try and watch them all tonight.

Well, Christmas has come and gone and yet it didn't feel like Christmas. Things just don't seem the same at this point in time. I hate that Cindy is gone and life is continuing.......sucks.

We have had so much stinking snow that we are staying put. Dad just told me that they closed I-84 again from Ontario to Pendleton. Guess it's a good thing that I'm not driving home anytime soon. I hope there aren't any people out there that are stuck.

Here is my car Dori who is spending Christmas break at my bff Liz's house. Many snowflakes in Portland this year!!!

I am going to try and post more often than I have been which shouldn't be too hard as I haven't posted since May. Who knows I might even put some pictures of what I am knitting.

Here's a pic of Cindy and I. Miss you sweet friend.

The return?

Alot has happened but one of the best things was Jimmy and Desi's wedding, the day camp ended. Here's one of my fave pics from that night.
Well, since it has been almost a year, I will post again. This has been an interesting year to say the least. I am now a permanent fixture at GH where I will continue teaching 5th grade until I don't know when. Interviewing was a nerve-wracking experience but totally felt the prayers and well wishes of my loved ones. Being permanent is still a bit shocking but I am really excited. My radical team of teachers that I worked with closely all this year is being split up with Schub moving down to 4th grade and a teacher named Kari returning. I'm a little nervous about this and also in mourning at losing my good friend to another grade level. She is an amazing teacher and they are lucky to have her but I am a bit selfish and wanted to keep her to us in the 5th grade wing.

School is out on June 17th and I am ready. This has been a tough year and I am in need of some respite. My group this year has been a bit taxing and pretty much have sucked the life out of me. My friends can comiserate -- they often wonder if I am alive.

Anywho, I am leaving for Tuba City on the Saturday after school gets out and then to JTS at Delano Bay in June. In between and after, lots of house/dog sitting jobs are in the works. I am hoping for some good familia time as well in Idaho.

Well, I am off to get some work done on my schoolwork -- Thank You God for today.
