Getting home I am tired and worried that my apt will be cold since I've been got for oh two weeks now. Opening the door after lugging my really light suitcase, haha, up the stairs I am met with a blast of hot air! Who knew having the heaters on 55 for two weeks with minimal entry by Lynsey and her sis Robyn would have built up a blast of too warm weather! It was over 90 degrees in my litle apartment! Sheesh! So I decided that I better open the door and cool this place down a little. While doing so, I rang in the new year chatting on fb with one of my best buddies, Tibbs. I'm thankful for him. Period. Getting up WAY too early, I headed over to the Couv to take Lynette shopping. We shopped and chatted for a while and then the phone call..........all I heard was "What happened? Is it all over the floor? There's nail polish remover in my basket on the desk. I'm leaving the store now, we'll be home in a minute." So as we are out being grown up girls, shopping and giggling, Lexi and Sage decided for the first time ever to get into Aunt Nette's bright pink nail polish. They basically hid behind the tree in the living room and proceeded to paint themselves, the hard wood floor, the wall (with handprints), antique pewter vases and candlesticks, the rug, the blinds, themselves some more, Lynette's antique trunk, some of the couch, oh and did I mention the hardwood floor? Well, we walked in to Ryan, Mike and Nick on their hands and knees, Lexi in the bathtub, Sage in timeout on the counter and Jim pacing. Well, Mike is a genius and has our new favorite product Spot Shot sprayed all over and the boys are scrubbing everything. I can't believe it! It is EVERYWHERE!!! So after about 5 cans of spot shot, a couple batches of Murphy's Oil soap, a lot of tears and sweat oh and paint on the wall -- you basically can't really tell! The girls didn't fare so well - nail polish stains. So Sage took a nap while Lexi had to watch us clean ALL AFTERNOON!!
When we finished cleaning, Lexi and I watched High School Musical and then started Monster's, Inc. Jim came home and treated us all to Old Country Kitchen! It was very tasty. After dinner, which ended at 10pm by the way, the boys and I went and purchased Mamma Mia!, to which I was very happy to watch. Nick, Ryan, and I watched the whole thing on Singalong status so we sang and sang and sang! It was fabulous!
Driving home at almost 1am, it was raining hard! Then all of a sudden it was snowing! Huge billowing flakes -- who'd of thunk!
Well, gotta get up and pack -- I'm heading to Tacoma to hang with Rach, Brian and the Tibbs then to Clayton and Sarah's wedding tomorrow. Love to you all!

Well, Christmas has come and gone and yet it didn't feel like Christmas. Things just don't seem the same at this point in time. I hate that Cindy is gone and life is continuing.......sucks.
We have had so much stinking snow that we are staying put. Dad just told me that they closed I-84 again from Ontario to Pendleton. Guess it's a good thing that I'm not driving home anytime soon. I hope there aren't any people out there that are stuck.
Here is my car Dori who is spending Christmas break at my bff Liz's house. Many snowflakes in Portland this year!!!
I am going to try and post more often than I have been which shouldn't be too hard as I haven't posted since May. Who knows I might even put some pictures of what I am knitting.
Here's a pic of Cindy and I. Miss you sweet friend.

Well, since it has been almost a year, I will post again. This has been an interesting year to say the least. I am now a permanent fixture at GH where I will continue teaching 5th grade until I don't know when. Interviewing was a nerve-wracking experience but totally felt the prayers and well wishes of my loved ones. Being permanent is still a bit shocking but I am really excited. My radical team of teachers that I worked with closely all this year is being split up with Schub moving down to 4th grade and a teacher named Kari returning. I'm a little nervous about this and also in mourning at losing my good friend to another grade level. She is an amazing teacher and they are lucky to have her but I am a bit selfish and wanted to keep her to us in the 5th grade wing.
School is out on June 17th and I am ready. This has been a tough year and I am in need of some respite. My group this year has been a bit taxing and pretty much have sucked the life out of me. My friends can comiserate -- they often wonder if I am alive.
Anywho, I am leaving for Tuba City on the Saturday after school gets out and then to JTS at Delano Bay in June. In between and after, lots of house/dog sitting jobs are in the works. I am hoping for some good familia time as well in Idaho.
Well, I am off to get some work done on my schoolwork -- Thank You God for today.

Today I am leaving for Mission Trip with East County church of Christ. We are going to Tuba City, Arizona in the Navajo Nation. I am really excited!! So excited that I woke up about 2 hours before my alarm. The only problem with that is that my alarm was set for 8:15am. Ugh. Oh well. I am clean and have time to post.
Please be in prayer for my friend Lynette. She was in a terrible car accident and has broken both legs below the knee. She is a fourth grade teacher but will be most likely taking the year off. She and her husband Jim are caring for their great neices right now and I just want them to be able to keep them and yet take care of themselves as well. God has blessed us with great surgeries so far and I pray for a quick recovery. That being said it will probably be about 1-2 years before she is all set to go. Jim is struggling and so are the three boys. Please hold them in your thoughts and prayers.
I finally downloaded my pictures from camp so I will share a few of those with you. Camp as I said before was AWESOME!!! I cn't wait to go and do it again in a few weeks for JTS!! Pray for us as we try to be One Body and share our faith and service with those we come into contact with.
The first pic is my friend Matt Tibbles, he's driving us to Rafting!
Rach, Clayton and I -- DOWN WITH GA GA!!!!!
This is Matt Voss and I -- he once gave me a pretty ring, or six.
This is the dangerous trio. Fenn, Tibbs, and Rach! Look out world!!!
Well friends, May God always lead your life!!!

Well, I am back from camp and can't believe it is almost time for me to head to Arizona for Mission Trip! It is Independence Day and I am so thankful to live in a free country. I have spent most of my time back from camp at the Flint's house helping Darla with Lexi and Sage. I got to go see Lynette last night and today and that was tough. She was in a lot of pain last night but doing better today. She has had one leg operated on and will have the other on Friday. Many prayers are being said on her behalf and I just have to say that I don't know how people do it without God.
I better head back over to the Couv to help with the kids. Hope your day is fabulous!
Praise God for Today!!!!
